Mosquito Control
How it Works
Five Star Pest Control uses a dual method of treatment. First we apply a larvaecide to all standing water on and adjacent to your property to stop mosquitoes from emerging. Then we apply a pyrethrum(for an instant knockdown effect which breaks down in sunlight in about 2 to 4 hours) and residue to all trees, shrubs, and shaded places where mosquitoes rest and hide. Depending on conditions this residue continues to be effective for as a month.

Carpenter Ant Control
Carpenter Ants are wood destroying insects; The U.S. Department of Agriculture estimates that there is over 1 Billion Dollars worth of homeowner's damage caused by these wood destroying insects each year. When Carpenter Ants invade a structure they hollow out galleries in the wood. The smooth clean, sculptured appearance of there nesting galleries is a characteristic of Carpenter Ants-thus their name. This is an interesting point, but these perfect galleries can diminish the structural integrity of your home. That can mean damage to your home.

While carpenter ants don't eat wood, they will feed on nearly anything people eat; particularly sweets and meats. They will also feed on other insects.

98% of all Carpenter Ant treatments can be completed without applying any pesticides inside your home. A perimeter treatment and the use of an ant bait gel inside where they are seen, typically kitchens, bathrooms, sliding doors, and fireplaces. A second perimeter treatment is conducted approximately three months later to provide you with continuing protection. All warranties offer are renewable on a year by year basis.
